Wild Baba Productions a full-service company based in Mumbai, India has unveiled a new brand film, in response to a brief from brand Wacoal with its creative agency McCann Worldwide Mumbai, India. We absolutely love the world we have created for Wacoal and the Wacoal woman with director Denzil Machado and director of photography Satchith Paulose. Wacoal is made for women with its motto Feels So Fine with a stylish range of undergarments created to inspire women to feel empowered and body confident. An attempt to showcase that feeling of style, comfort and freedom.
Throughout the series, we got a glimpse into the lives, personal spaces, and worlds of three beautiful models. Women’s lingerie is very personal and delicate in terms of design and craft and we see it as a woman’s closest friend. I also believe that women wear lingerie according to their moods. If she is feeling sexy she could wear lace. If she is feeling artistic, something different. A different cut, A different texture, Something stylish yet comfortable for that particular moment. Something that doesn’t hold her back.
The brand was planning the campaign and for a forbidden reason, Covid put everything on lockdown. Wild Baba Productions shot this production in Mumbai, India immediately after the emergency lockdown. Getting the right location and the right model for this film was a challenge. As the director’s brief was straightforward, casting was a major challenge. The models have to be young, modern and sophisticated. They should be women of substance, class and style.
COVID forced many models to leave India. We conducted remote auditions from different cities in India, including Mumbai, Delhi, Goa, Bangalore and Hyderabad. Last but not least, Wild Baba Productions worked on a production in Mumbai, India and followed all the new production guidelines that were implemented due to COVID. The creative agency McCann Worldwide and clients from Japan were all remotely on the shoot via zoom calls.
Wacoal offers probably the most extensive range of stylish lingerie to the Indian market. The overall feeling of the film is aspirational yet accessible. We have created a beautiful celebration for the product and the consumer. We got WILD and created this branded content campaign for TV commercials, print campaigns, and digital content videos for the brand WACOAL in India. The film has done wonders for the client, performing above our expectations.”
