Wild Baba Productions, Producing branded content TV commercials for the brand Maybelline New York.
Maybelline New York is a multinational corporation that produces cosmetics, skin care, fragrances, and personal care products in New York City. It’s a subsidiary of L’Oréal, a French cosmetics company. To mention the credentials of the TVC, it was conceptualized by McCann’s creative agency who signed Wild Baba Productions, India to film it, along with digital assets and print collateral. It has also signed #GenZ brand ambassadors Suhana Khan, Ananya Birla, PV Sindhu and Eksha K. These women embody the Maybelline brand and inspire a whole generation with their love of the brand. The brand ambassadors were a part of the entire campaign, from concept to execution. The TVC is an ode to these inspirational women who embody the spirit of Maybelline. It is an inspiring message to all the women who aspire to live their dreams.
Our creative director, Siddhi Yadav, was very clear on what the brand wanted, and we followed her instructions. It is my belief that a good brief clarifies everything. A great brief is the only way to create benchmark films. Having the creative and production teams working together, crossed fingers, led to clear movements throughout the production process, resulting in amazing brand films.
The three-day shoot in Bangkok included filming in the middle of the city during the week, and we captured two or three locations each day. We prefer to shoot in Bangkok because it’s reasonable, shooting friendly, they have the right locations, and most importantly the crew, who are always fast. We are impressed with the size of the crew and the efficiency of set-making. It was a challenging time during the preparation and filming production, but our Bangkok Local Partner managed to overcome the challenges. We shot everything as planned and had extra shots.
The experience was enhanced by a family of wild crew who have carried on their tradition for generations. Director Thomas Kelly and cameraman Franck Tymezuk guided the shoot, making the experience a rewarding experience and setting a benchmark for Maybelline New York.
